What makes salt so fascinating? A newly designed tour at the headquarters of Swiss Salt Works in Schweizerhalle brings this question to life. Visitors learn where salt comes from, how it is harvested and how it shapes our lives – from table salt to road salt and beyond. They can immerse themselves in the fascinating world of salt in an unexpected way, marvel at enormous mountains of salt and slide through an innovative sensory brand experience. There is also a visitor’s centre with a café and shop. Salina Helvetica was created in collaboration with Steiner Sarnen Switzerland. Plans for unique visitor experiences at additional Swiss Salt Works locations are currently being planned.
