A cultural centre for a new neighbourhood.
“Werk 2”, the canton of Thurgau’s new history museum in Arbon, will present Thurgau’s recent history. As part of a feasibility study, we analysed locations, considered feasibility issues in terms of strategy, tourism, visitor guidance, politics and content, and defined a new concept: “Werk 2” will serve as the cultural centre of a new neighbourhood and revitalise the entire region. It is also an ideal location for a variety of exhibitions and cooperations that appeal to both a local and national audience. “Werk 2” is a prime example of a modern, future-oriented museum and will serve as a flagship project for the canton.
