About us

What we do

We create narrative environments.

We are Bellprat Partner – an interdisciplinary Swiss team of scenography experts. Our passion is to translate messages into memorable experiences. With more than 40 years of experience, we are constantly innovating narrative communication. For clients from Muotathal to Tokyo, and everywhere in between. And to every scale – from immersive brand spaces to complex exhibitions, expos, digital spaces or tourism environments. With our proven approach, we create a bespoke concept of the highest quality for each individual project.

Sceno...what?!

A matter of definition.

Scenography has many facets. We define scenography as follows: “The translation of content into three-dimensional environments with the help of design, dramaturgy and media.” A term first coined by Aristotle, scenography has surrounded us since time immemorial – at medieval markets, in churches, at amusement parks and in the form of world expos. The discipline is as diverse as it is interdisciplinary. It is often comprised of a complex interplay of messages, architecture, material, lighting, objects, stories, media, dramaturgy and sound. We use all of these tools to orchestrate experiences that become lasting memories.

Areas of activity

Where we get creative.

We create everything from small, intimate exhibitions to turnkey World Expo pavilions. Our scope includes the following five domains:

Exhibitions

e.g. museums, science centres, interactive experiences, feasibility studies

Brand worlds

e.g. visitors’ centres, flagship stores, trade fairs, events, anniversaries

Expo Pavilions

e.g. world expos, national exhibitions, horticultural shows

Tourist destinations

e.g. master plans, destination development, themed trails, theme parks

Digital spaces

e.g. interaction design, hybrid formats, games, AR and VR applications

Wherever three-dimensional communication is required, we transform messages into a comprehensive experience for visitors – whether national or international, loud or quiet, large or small, cultural or commercial.

What we offer

Our daily business.

We meticulously plan and implement our projects from A to Z – from the initial brainstorming session to applying the finishing touches on location. As a creative partner, consultant and general contractor, we offer the following services:

Our approach

The seven-phase method.

We work participatively and iteratively, hand in hand with our clients to achieve the best possible results. During this process, we utilise a clearly defined system made up of seven project phases and proven methods that our experience has shown are the most reliable way to achieve our goals. When we start a new project, the result is always unknown. Our process, however, is tried and tested. This is how we implement not just any idea, but the idea that will make our client’s vision a reality:

  1. 1

    Basics and
    concept idea

Definition of the task and framework conditions

Development and sketch of the initial idea

  2. 2
  3. 3
  4. 4

Our DNA

What sets us apart.

Xavier Bellprat, the founder of Bellprat Partner, is an architect who has, among other things, worked as the museum director of a science centre. As a result, we developed a deep understanding of how spaces and interactive science communication work together.

We are passionate about creating sensory experiences that are powerful enough to become a lasting memory – a biographical note. Every one of our projects will be unique. The creative process is our highest priority. With our international network of specialists, we make even the boldest ideas a reality in a reliable and timely manner – and have stood for Swiss-made scenography since 1981.

Team

Many talents under one roof.

Our interdisciplinary team is comprised of experienced specialists in scenography, interior architecture/design, architecture, interaction design, curation, concept creation, dramaturgy, graphic design, marketing, communication, multimedia, film, and project and production management.

As a mix of scenography “old hands” and talented up-and-comers, our team is a well-oiled machine that always has its finger on the pulse – and is usually one step ahead. Through a combination of experience and innovation, we work to create a friendly, open atmosphere where we can realise projects that bring the infamous “wow effect” to life.
